Jersey Shore

We had a good time at the Jersey Shore this week with Jeff's parents, his brother, wife and kid.  We spent time at the beach, the pool and on the board walk.  Jeff and I had fun at the beach, but we decided that we are more of pool people.  The sand is everywhere!  And I don't really like being in the ocean... therefore we are pool people!
I love to look at Ferris wheels, but not to ride on them.
Logan, our nephew, is so funny!  He was throwing a fit at dinner this night, and as soon as Jeff pulled out the camera to take a picture of his tantrum, he smiled and posed for the camera.  It was so cute!
Little man could not sit still during dinner, so Jeff and I took him for a walk.
 Jeff's brother and his family.
Logan had a great time on the boardwalk!  He loved putting his feet up and enjoying his drink. So jealous!  It was HOT that night!

Palmyra

This summer, one thing that I wanted to do was going to Palmyra and see the Hill Cumorah pageant.  We were able to do that last weekend, and I was so happy.  This is the Sacred Grove... it was so peaceful and calm.

James 1:5... the actual bible that Joseph Smith read.

The Smith house, where the angel Moroni appeared to Joseph... don't ask what that kid is doing by the house.
Me at the pageant.. no one else would get in the picture with me.

Sealed

This is where we went last weekend!  Jean and Tim, (my in-laws) were sealed, and Jeff was sealed to them as well.  It was a great day and there was a wonderful spirit at the ceremony.  It was small, only the four of us, two witnesses and the sealer.  It was a day that Tim and Jeff have been waiting a long time for.
 The "newlyweds!"  haha

Ps- It was about 100 degrees outside!  Plus the humidity, it was nasty!

Fishing (the last week cont.)

Sorry this is not in chronological order, but I forgot about this little fishing trip...
Last weekend I had the opportunity to go fishing for the second time in my life.  The first time was when I was about 5 years old.  Jeff's dad loves to go fishing, so last Sunday evening, Jeff, my father-in-law and I went to the lake and went fishing.  I also spent a lot of time taking pictures.  My camera is not the best, but I love photography.  At some point I want a nice camera, but we are too poor for that right now!  So someday!

Lake Shawnee... this is the lake that Jeff's parents live on.

Jeff getting ready to start fishing.

Jeff and his dad on the dock.

The first fish that was caught.

Some little kids came over and wanted to see the fish that was caught.  It was cute.

 The beach.

The second fish that was caught.
 Yeah, I'm a fisher-woman!

And that was our fishing experience.  Sorry there are so many pictures!

The last week

This last week here has been busy!  Last weekend Jeff's brother, wife and son came to Greenwich and we went to the aquarium.  It was pretty fun, but not the best aquarium.

 Jeff in the shark cage!

Logan, Jeff's nephew, loved the aquarium!

I touched a sting ray.  It was slimy!

We went to see the shark show, but it was disappointing.

 Jeff saying hi!
The jellyfish tank.... my favorite!  It is a scary picture of me, haha.

And this weekend, we had a very exciting day on Saturday!  Jeff's mom wen to the temple and received her endowment.  It was a day that our family has been waiting for for a long time.  (Jeff has been waiting even longer.)  I was her escort (which was kinda scary for me) but it ended up being a great experience.  I absolutely love the Manhattan temple.  It is so pretty.  Obviously the Salt Lake is my favorite, but NY is my second.  After that we went to a little farmers market across the street, and the went the Central Park.  I love NYC!

After the temple!

MIA

If you are wondering why I have been MIA for a while, it's cause I started "working" here at Greenwich Academy.  I am filling in at the daycare for 3 weeks.  (I can do anything for 3 weeks, then it pays $18 an hour!
Anyway, last weekend Jeff and I stayed here instead of going to New Jersey.  We spent Friday night just relaxing and then got up Saturday morning and headed down to Greenwich Avenue,  the Rodeo Drive of the east coast.  It was lots of fun.  We went to stores like Zara, Restoration Hardware, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gap, Vineyard Vines, and many many more.

What I picture when I think of rich people on the beach.  Haha
 Some weird window display...
My favorite house on the walk to the Ave.
